Peter Marvey redefines the art of illusion. He is probably the most original illusionist of our time. During his entire career as a magician, he has never presented an existing illusion. His conception of illusions is unique - and always has been. Peter Marvey is not only a magician, but also an inventor.  He knows, that the art of illusions is not at the peak, but still at the beginning.

The new illusions of Peter Marvey are open and transparent. The usual cases and coverings are not used.  Peter Marvey eliminates big and visible apparatus and machines are left out. In the center, remains the artist, his magic, and the basic dreams of man.  Nowadays, every child knows about the possibilities with machines and computers; their abilities do not seem magical any longer. Illusions are most incredible, where visible apparatus is eliminated. This was a basic fact that Peter Marvey already understood during his early studies in the magic field. He is still implementing his theory now, even though it's much more difficult to create mircacles without visible magic props.

01

In addition, many of Peter Marvey's illusions work in all conditions, and not just upstage in dark light:

Any lighting, even daylight is fine. The spectators can watch from all sides, and at close range. That's how Peter Marvey reaches unequalled visuality with his illusions- which can hardly be found elsewhere.

The best example is the illusion "Ultimate Cut", where Peter Marvey's legs drive around on a unicycle independent from his upper body without any boxes or covering, in bright light, surrounded by the audience. It's the most convincing magical separation of a human in the art of magic.

02

Peter Marvey calls this new generation of illusions "Close up illusions". Big magical illusions, which can be watched from very close.

Here are some examples of open and transparent illusions of the new generation:

03

Superman: As the first magician ever, Peter Marvey shrinks to dwarf size and grows back, without any box or covering, surrouded by the audience, in any light.

04

Going through a body Out of Imagination: For the first time in magic, a dancer comes through Peter Marvey's body without any covering.

05

Head Off: As the first magician ever, Peter Marvey takes his head off while his full body can be seen without any covering.

06

The Haunted Balloon Basket: The Haunted Basket magically lifts up five dancers which are standing inside. This happening is controlled by several spectators (no stooges), which are standing around the balloon in a distance of less than one foot, holding each other's hands. Another close up illusion.

07

Three Levitating Spectators: Three spectators (no stooges) learn how to levitate within 3 minutes. It works surrounded in any light. There is nothing even similar in all the world.

08

Revenge: a dancer ties up Peter Marvey on a stake. Without any covering, surrounded by spectators and in any light, Peter Marvey switches places with the dancer in a pyro flash. Finally Peter Marvey is released, and the dancer is tied up - faster than magic.

09

But Peter Marvey is not only renewing the field of illusions. In manipulation, he made a big magician's dream come true for the first time: The magician who enters the empty stage in short sleeves, and makes appear and dissappear ALL the props he needs magically. In his act Magic Hands, Peter Marvey does exactly this; entering the empty stage, he produces filled cocktail glasses, balls, cards, jumbo cards and finally even a card castle larger than himself.

Most of Peter Marvey's creations are protected, some illusions or some important parts of illusions even by patent (pending).

10

The shows of Peter Marvey are 100 minutes plus intermission. He is supported by his 4 to 10 dancers. In his closest team there are 17 persons busy on stage. Eight tons of material are moved world wide. For special events, Peter Marvey also presents particular illusions or short extracts from his big show.

11

He is probably the only magician of our time who can assure by contract that all the big illusions he performs are unique world wide.
